NBPA — Chapters Are Coming

We want a national presence to make a difference for our children

The National Black Parents Association (NBPA) is currently headquartered in Dallas, Texas. As a newly formed nonprofit organization, we are in the early stages of building our national presence and, currently, do not yet have established chapters across the country.

However, our vision is clear.

We recognize that African American parents nationwide are navigating complex challenges as they support their children through the American education system. From disproportionate school discipline and persistent achievement gaps to bullying and civil rights concerns, these issues are not confined to one city or region—they are national in scope and deeply impactful.

For that reason, NBPA is committed to expanding through the development of local chapters across the United States.

We believe that local chapters are essential because they:

  • Understand the unique needs and dynamics of their communities
  • Can respond quickly and effectively to local issues
  • Provide “boots on the ground” support for parents and families
  • Build trusted relationships with schools, organizations, and community leaders

Our goal is to establish a network of empowered NBPA chapters that serve as advocates, resources, and support systems for Black families in their respective communities.

As we grow, we look forward to partnering with parents, educators, and community leaders who share our passion for strengthening Black families and ensuring our children receive the education, protection, and opportunities they deserve.

If you are interested in bringing an NBPA chapter to your community, we welcome you to connect with us. Together, we can build a strong national movement rooted in local impact.
